5.0 Summary
This research work has been able to examine the extent to which students are influenced by foreign films. The theory of acculturation and cultivation have shown that television can be used positively or otherwise to foster the growth and development of culture, to assimilate or completely destroy it.
The first chapter introduced the study chapter two discussed relevant literatures, it also touched on media, and then provided the theoretical framework that backed this research. Chapter three dealth with research methods, while chapter four discussed the data gotten from the research. The research questions were also answered here. The study was able to establish that foreign film have positive effects on the behaviour of students in that they open their mind to new ideologies exposing them to myths in movies like the “the hobbit”, also in terms of good story lines good pictures. Good grammar usage teach them on how to handle difficult situation when it comes to opposite sex relations, portray of characters and messages, can be related to their present environment. Foreign films influences the youth by putting an idea in their viewers mind but does not push them into these action the peers or friend do, because watching is one thing and carrying out the action watched another thing. They tend to depend on their friends to carryout certain actions watched in those movies that are negative. In terms of dressing mode, having the urge to take part in certain actions that are been watched, handling sexual relationships, change in behaviours, feeling awesome even though the movies are corruptive etc because they believe they can relate more, freely comfortable when they talk to their friends about certain things without being criticized.
5.1 Conclusion
Based on the result in the findings of this work, watching foreign films is just one factor that affects the behaviour of students pressure from the environment and friend they  have is another thing. Although these student are from different backgrounds, orientation and moral upbringing, it has been established that foreign films determine their social and moral attitudes of students. The respondents are of the opinion that although they learn negative about new cultures, new words, another view of reality in terms of mythology. It depends the positive outweigh the negative.
5.3 Recommendations
It has been proven that foreign films influence the moral values of students. But the peer enforces these ideas already possessed by the students. Based on the research that was carried out, the following are the recommendations made by the researcher.
Nigerians should work more on local content. If Nollywood films produce high quality video and intriguing story lines, the way foreign films does, most Nigerian students would opt for it. By so doing, the films would promote our indigenous values through that medium thereby making the students relate more to the stories being told.
Parents should be able to talk to their steward by creating a good relationship. With them when they stewards can talk to their parents as though they are friends instead of building a wall between them thereby making their children talk to their friends who in turn give wrong advice.
Course on film production should be introduced as general course. In our institutions to enable our students realize that, what they see in films are most times mere imaginations of the directions and film producers and they are far from being real.
Further studies should also explore the possible relationship between viewership of foreign films and the academic performance of Nigerian students which according to WAEC and JAMB results of recent years appear to be dwindling.
