4.1Introduction
The focus of this chapter is on the presentation and interpretation of results and discussions on the role of traditional communication in rural development of Kalabari.
In the cause of this study, 300 questionnaire were administered to a sample which was chosen through the simple random sampling technique from the entire population of study. Out of the number of questionnaire administered 296 was correctly completed and returned given the return rate of 98.6%.
The questions were in two parts, A contained demographics information of respondents while part B contained information relevant to the research questions.

From the table presented above 119 respondents representing 56% are male, while 117 respondents representing 44% are females.

The above table indicates that 96 respondents representing 32.44 are married, 171 respondent representing 57.77 are single while 29 representing 9.79 are separated.

The data presented above shows that 120 respondents representing 40.5% had tertiary education, 92 respondents representing 31.1% had their secondary education, 63 respondents representing 21.3% had primary education, while 21 representing 7.1% had no formal education.
