3.0 Introduction
This deals with the method involved in
carrying out this research.
3.1 Research
design
The method that will be used here is
the survey method, through the administering of questionnaire. Social survey is
a design used to conduct research, that are based on opinion, views and
interviews of the people in relation to social issues and events. These ones
will be able to provide accurate and relevant information.
3.2 Research
population
The population of this research is
every regular, final year undergraduate of the university of Port Harcourt who
view independent television station in Port Harcourt. The number of final year
student according to ICTC reports amounted to 6200 by 11 faculties.

undergraduate student will be drawn from students of the University of Port

3.4 Research
instrument
The instrument that will be used to
carry out this research is the questionnaire. The questionnaire will have just
one section. All the question will be
close ended consisting of Yes-No question and multiple choice question.
3.5 Method
of data collection
For the gathering of the primary data
that will be used in the research, the researchers will employ the use of the
questionnaire. The questionnaire will contain relevant questions which can get
information from respondents. The questionnaire is used to gather information
about the subject matter from the respondents.
3.6 Method
of data analysis
Data gathered through the
administration of the questionnaire will be presented, using table. This is to
help provide a graphic presentation of the responses of the respondents. The
data will also be analyzed using the simple percentage and the frequency of
responses.
